Everyone in Texas knows and loves Big Tex. He is the official mascot of the fair. The saying in our family is "If you get lost we will meet up at Big Tex". He is an icon and I love to be greeted with his super slow booming voice saying "Howdy folks and welcome to the State Fair of Texas".
